Warmup™ is a tradition I set up for my studio around 2015 where we spent 30 minutes to sketch something out. We later changed it to 1 hour dedicated every morning at work where we draw whatever we want or based on a theme that was randomized. The idea is that one will remove the “blank page” fear this way by have a sketch routine that is constant. It opens the door for experimentation, creativity and reducing the fear of failing by knowing that one can just draw something else tomorrow. This induced a sense of artistic liberation in a lot of my artists and they found themselves through the tip of their pen.

Here is a range of my drawings counting back 10 years where I have explored different techniques, topic, approaches. I’ve switched between traditional media like ink and graphite, and digital media like 3d sculpting, photobash, “lights first” technique and a wide range of different type of studies.

I hope you will enjoy the thousands of warmups and I hope that I can inspire you to pick up this tradition!
